Sanctuary!

Another blown-out diaper and projectile vomiting. I'm seriously wondering if I have what it takes to be a stay-at-home mom. Because right now, I'd prefer to be almost anyplace but here.

Wow. I've seen projectile vomiting but your projectile pooping was new to me. I've been peed on a lot (boys are better at that than girls - little geysers are sort of part of the routine. but I don't think I've ever seen projectile poop. I'll have to remember to ask my bride about that one.

I am sure that the times that you want to run screaming from the house (to the local pub, or bus station or airport - which has both a bar and a means of escape) are intense. But, you do have what it takes to be a stay home Mom. The evidence of that is the care that you take and axniety you experience for and about your baby.

How much did you think about her when you were in South America? My wife and I (on our rare get aways) find that we talk almost incessantly about the children.

Raising kids turns out to be the great task of our lives. It is not what we set out thinking we would accomplish - and its not that we stopped accomplishing other things. It is, though, that the other things have paled in importance when compared to raising, forming, holding, loving, caring for, cheering for, delighting in and being awed by the lives that have been entrusted to us. Thier child hood flees quickly. You can do it - just look at that little face. (Perhaps while standing out of the line of direct fire).

Cheering for you from the internet.

No kidding. I can imagine that you aren't alone in feeling like this, and I am sure it is one of the many challenges of being a parent. You have kept up with those challenges thus far, so I am sure this won't lick you now---and from this day forward, NOTHING will gross you out.
