Home again, home again

London was incredible. Bath, Lacock, and Stone Henge were beautiful. And Edinburgh was wet. Overall, it all was so invigorating, so refreshing, so much fun. It was really difficult to come home, though, and I begged The Banker for more time. Actually, I begged for a permanent change of address. Ever sensible, he made sure we made the flight.

But here's just some of what we saw:

I was so blown away by how rich the history was, everywhere we went. And the people were so kind, so accomodating. And even better? I felt great the entire trip. More later when I get caught up some more on my sleep, laundry, and such.

Although I am in York, I have done the same round of travelling that you just returned from. You certainly got a better day for Stonehenge than I did (it rained the whole time--amazingly miserable). I enjoyed Bath very much, too. Britain is a great trip, although I would rather exchange my change of address for my US one than take out a permanent (or maybe more permanent) one here. It's the rain, I think. And the food.

We were fortunate in that it lightly sprinkled one day and only really rained when we were in Edinburgh--perhaps lulling us into thinking the weather is better than it really is! But we did notice how terribly bland the food was. In fact, I don't think I was blown away by any culinary experience we had. So perhaps you're right. Maybe I should hold onto the hope of a permanent address change in Australia or New Zealand. Or at the very least--for The Banker's sake--Ireland.

I know this is an older post, but I have to say thanks for reminding me about how cool London is... I've been here for two months and sometimes get carried away by the daily grind of working (and not having much money to do anything) so I forget to appreciate this amazing city. Glad you had a great time here!

cheers & congrats on the pregnancy :)
